Sandwell and West Birmingham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) celebrated the achievements and dedication of all staff delivering patient care in general practice on 15th June 2017 at an inaugural awards ceremony.
Summerfield GP and Urgent Care Centre won the Antibiotics Champion award for the measures we have taken to reduce unnecessary prescribing of antibiotics.
The judges said that, “The team at Summerfield have taken antibiotic prescribing very seriously, engaging with patients, using localised data and close management to make a difference to antibiotic prescribing rates. Many congratulations.”
Speaking at the awards ceremony, Prof Nick Harding said: “Tonight has been an opportunity to celebrate all that we do well and congratulates individuals, teams and practice that go that extra mile for their patients. I’m very proud of our all achievements in primary care and it is a priority of the CCG to continue to fully support all our practice teams.”
