Please wear a face covering whilst visiting the surgery
Your safety and the safety of our staff remains paramount to us. In order to minimise cross infection within our service our staff will continue to wear appropriate PPE and we require all patients over the age of 12 continue to wear a face covering whilst on the premises, unless clinically exempt (with proof) from doing so. Masks are available at reception if needed.
Summerfield Urgent Care Centre is committed to giving you high-quality healthcare. We offer a range of health services and information as well as advice and treatment for a range of illnesses and minor injuries.
Our service is open 365 days a year between 8am and 8pm. You do not need an appointment to use our Urgent Treatment Centre but to avoid waiting times, you are advised to call 111, they will refer you to our service for a telephone call back and if appropriate an appointment time can be given.
The service waiting time can be up to 4 hours on busy days. Some days it may be over 4 hours due to patient emergencies and they will take priority over walk in patients and those that has been allocated a 111 face to face appointment. We will endeavour to see every single walk in patient, however, there may be a chance not everyone will be treated on the same day and may be advised to reattend the following day or call 111 service for advise and if required, out of hours services.
Please note that in an effort to ensure infection control and limited seating within our waiting areas, we may ask only the patient attend the service and the friends and family can wait outside.
