Due to essential IT maintenance, our clinical systems will be unavailable on Wednesday 29th July 2026 between 10am – 1:15pm. During this time, we have limited access to patient records and some services may take longer than usual.
We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience while this necessary work is carried out to improve our systems. Our team will continue to assist you as best we can, but there may be delays.
If your condition is urgent, please inform a member of staff immediately. For life-threatening emergencies, please call 999.

Summerfield Urgent Treatment Centre

Summerfield Urgent Treatment Centre is committed to giving you high-quality healthcare. We offer a range of health services and information as well as advice and treatment for a range of illnesses and minor injuries.

Our service is open 365 days a year from 8am until capacity is reached. We are open until 8pm but capacity is often reached earlier, you do not need an appointment to use Summerfield Urgent Treatment Centre but to avoid waiting times, you are advised to call 111, they will refer you to our service for a telephone call back and if appropriate an appointment time can be given.

Please note that our triage nurse may refer you to a local pharmacy for some minor conditions.

Out of hours

If you need urgent medical care when the centre is closed, you should telephone NHS 111.

Nurses are caring, friendly and polite.

Service waiting times

The service waiting time can be up to 4 hours on busy days. Some days it may be over 4 hours due to patient emergencies and they will take priority over walk in patients and those that has been allocated a 111 face to face appointment. We will endeavor to see every single walk in patient, however, if we have reached capacity, you will be be asked to reattend the following day or call 111 service for advice and if required, out of hours services.
